Agenda:
Read
Investigate
Write
Note: I can't teach "normal" curriculum today and pretend that 17 students just like you were not murdered yesterday in a school just like ours. We need to know more. We need to do more.
The 2nd Amendment to to Constitution of the United States says that:
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
Learn more:
- These materials are provided via a district resource of pro/con issues.
- Read more HERE. (Note, you may have trouble accessing these resources from off campus because they are provided through a district resource. I'll share the password you need in a Google Classroom announcement.)
- Read something from "viewpoint 1" and something from "viewpoint 2"
- The goal is to make yourself more informed about these issues.
Respond:
In your English Journal write about what you just read. Include the title of the articles you read and include your thoughts about the viewpoints you read.
Reminders:
Read this weekend.
Return the card the counselors gave you yesterday. Get it signed.
Do something fun.
